The complete program ranges from documentaries about Jews who escaped the Nazis in Europe and then settled in South America, to some on-the-spot musical improvisation in a concert of Jewish jazz to a history of comedy as expressed by a six-pack of Jewish comediennes whose careers spanned the 20th century.

"That film is 'Making Trouble' by Rachel Talbot," festival director Susan Silverman says. "It was more a history of women in comedy, and it just so happens that they are all Jewish."
